Guest Evening: Jayne Venables, Hoping York Street Kitchen

Members and guests gathered recently for a Guest Evening featuring a special address from Jayne Venables,
representing Hoping York Street Kitchen a local charity working to provide food and community
support to those who need it most.

Jayne spoke candidly about the charity’s mission, the people they serve, and the volunteer
effort that keeps the kitchen running. Her talk sparked genuine conversation among those
present and left members with a deeper appreciation of the grassroots work happening right on
our doorstep.

It was a reminder of why events like this sit at the heart of what Rotary does bringing
people together around causes that matter, and building bridges between clubs and the
communities they serve.
